Well, in a few short days I am off on an arguably even crazier adventure than last time. I'm having flashbacks to the summer of 2014 when I was writing a very similar blog post about my six week adventure to Germany with the Calvin Engineering Program. As always, I am having a hard time putting words to my thoughts and actually fully processing the fact that I will be living 15 hours ahead of my family in merely six days. What's important to know about me? Hmmm... well I love my family and my friends, I enjoy baking, and I can't help but dance to the songs on the radio. I'm a Social Work major, so one of my passions is people! New adventures are very exciting, and I think God has a lot in store for me this January. Continue reading "Blogpost 1 – Kristen Winter"
Things that are really important to me are drinking a nice cup of tea with my family while talking about the latest events in our lives. Also running or working out are extremely important to me, because I use that time to think about whatever is on my mind. One of my Favorite Bible Passages is: Philippians 4;4-7 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. My pray for this interim is that the group’s willingness to learn does not stop at any part of the trip.
Professor Penny's example of a blogpost 1. She writes on three of the 5 topics for this assignment: What's important to her identity, a favorite Bible passage, and her prayer for January 2016. Continue reading "Blogpost 1 – Prof Penny"
