Executive Summary

Considering limited access to and scarcity of clean water in the world today, it is no surprise that our team of four Civil/Environmental Engineers chose a project that will help to conserve fresh water by restoring an impaired waterway. We have the privilege of working with the Plaster Creek Steward initiative and Christ Church to make the church’s property storm water neutral. This will involve the implementation of rain gardens, a detention pond, and several other possible options such as porous pavement. In reducing silt and erosion in Plaster Creek, we help to preserve the Great Lakes, which make up 20% of the world’s fresh water.
