I am on the Summer Program in Germany because I want to experience other cultures and learn more as a person. There is so much opportunity to learn during this program. Taking both an engineering and a German class will help me learn new things in a classroom setting. The excursions will help me learn in a cultural way. I hope that the class of 2017 for the program will grow to be close friends through this program. I am confident that staying together for over a month will help all of us become closer and get to know each other. Hopefully these friendships will continue past the program ends. In group settings, I am good at easing tensions. If any issues arise, I can contribute to the group by calming people down. I pray that this summer, I will be able to grow closer to the people around me and also to God this summer.
