Bremen: reflections

I know this post is a little after we went to Bremen, but here it is anyway. One of the things we did in Bremen was take a boat tour. It was kind of cold and rainy but it was cool to see the U boat bunker, which was basically a big concrete building on the side of the river. It was interesting because a lot of the structures built by the Nazis have been destroyed. The U boat bunker was not because it would have taken way to much work to destroy all of the concrete.

Another thing that we saw in Bremen was a crypt that contained the mummified remains of people that had died hundreds of years ago. The remains had been mummified because the granite in the crypt walls was radioactive and thus killed off the bacteria which would have decomposed the body.
