A loose itinerary of our travels:

January 4, we depart Grand Rapids and arrive in Beijing on Thursday evening.

January 4-10: We will explore the city of Beijing. Beijing is the second largest city in China and has served as the capital on and off since the 1400’s. As such, there are many cultural and historic sites that we will visit as we start to explore this land. Those sites will include The Great Wall, The Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square and others. On Monday, we will shift from history and culture to businesses.

January 11-17: We will explore Shanghai this week. China’s largest city with a population of 22 million people. (that is bigger than New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia and Phoenix put together). We have a busy schedule of company visits coupled with some time to visit church, markets, and museums.

January 18-22: We will explore Hangzhou. Hangzhou is a smaller city, only 7 million. What it lacks in people, it makes up in industry as it is one of the most prosperous regions in mainland China based on per capita GDP.

January 23-25. Our last destination is Nanjing. We have no scheduled business to visit in Nanjing, but will instead, finish the trip as we started it with an immersion in history and culture. On the 25th, we have a large travel day as we will travel from Nanjing to Shanghai to fly home to GA through Dallas.
