Germany in a Nutshell

Time here honestly has gone so slow yet so fast at the same time. It’s already the last day of the course and soon it’s off to Venice!

After spending so much time here I can definitely say that Berlin is like a European Singapore, except with nicer cars. The people here usually walk, bike, or use public transport as the main form of travel. They also have a lot cheap options for food here like the doner kebab stalls, the currywurst stalls, or the sandwich shops at almost every corner of the street.

Berlin is a bustling city and full of life at any hour of the day, but people here also know how to relax. I usually get back from classes around late afternoons, like 3 to 4 PM-ish. Often, I see a lot of people just sitting outside of cafes or ice cream shops drinking some kind of drink or having some kind of light snack. I wouldn’t really have expected to see something like that in such a metropolitan area, but it’s actually great.

The streets here are so pretty. You’re always bound to come across a path with colorful buildings.

I think this was our first week here. Some of us decided to walk around the town and discovered these colorful apartments.

Bremen, Germany

Germany in general is beautiful. The sky here seems blue almost all the time, but the weather got really hot. The weather only recently cooled down, so for the most part of the trip, I was really missing AC. The youth hostel didn’t install air conditioning into their dorms. Even worse, my roommates and I didn’t even know we could borrow electronic fans from the front desk. So the first few weeks we really were suffering.

Hands down though, this trip has been so much fun.
