Although this phrase, which can be translated as ‘delicious’, has been used out-of-context countless times within our group, it’s not to diminish the abundance of some seriously fantastic food here in Germany. Here are a couple that I have come to love.
One of the very first things that I had while in Berlin was this, the Currywurst.
This consists of bratwurst, or boiled sausage, which is covered in a tomato-based sauce and yellow curry powder.
Usually served with potato fries, this dish can be found everywhere around Germany.
A classic dessert in Germany, this is the Kaffee und Kochen. The combination of schoko-cake and freshly roasted black coffee could not be better. Definitely a 10/10 on the sehr lecker scale.
Having Eis/Gelato shops are such a huge blessing on these 90+ degree days in Germany. Not only are they usually one euro, but they taste amazing compared to traditional ice cream back home. I am most definitely going to miss these the most.
A 12/10 on the sehr lecker scale.
So there it is! A brief introduction of the most delicious foods that I, along with many others, have experienced. Genau!
