Project Description:

Stable Stop is a motorcycle system that seeks to assist a motorcycle rider with maintaining balance at relatively low and idle speeds. Through the use of a secondary set of retractable wheels, a motorcycle rider’s last thought will be thinking about using his or her legs to maintain balance of the several hundred pound vehicle.

The Stable Stop team seeks to aid those who have been born with a physical impairment, have received a physical impairment at some stage in their lives, or have lost confidence in their riding ability due to their age. Our team believes that a physical limitation or advanced age should never be the reason to not pursue an interest or hobby, specifically motorcycle riding. It is our hope that our design can restore confidence and give an individual freedom to continue riding.
