I am participating in the SPIG program not only to continue my engineering education, but to study in another country where I can also have a great cross cultural experience. The engineering field has become increasing more global and to have traveled and studied in Germany will give make me a more marketable engineer. Also, I am a huge history buff so Germany was on the list of places I have wanted to go to.
I hope to gain a strong understanding of statics and dynamics and get a good grade in the class. I am also looking forward to German culture class and learning more about the history of the country. A strength that I can bring to the group is my knowlege of WWII history. I can be a “tour guide” for some of our weekend trips. A prayer request that I have is for safety while in Germany and that we will all be a great support for each other.
