Elevator Speech

When someone asks me, “How was Germany?” I am going to have so much to say, I don’t even know where I’ll start.  But I’ll still do my best to sum it up as quick as I can.

This trip was amazing.  We arrived in Berlin, moved in to our Hostel, and jumped right into the routine.  We went to class during the week, Engineering 202 in the morning followed by a German Culture class in the afternoon.  After class we would get some dinner, do some homework, and if we had time go out into the city of Berlin.  On the weekends, we took trips to various cities around Germany including Wittenberg, Heidelberg, Bremen, Lubeck and Köln.  We got to see and experience lots of German culture through these trips, learn fascinating history, and explore beautiful cathedrals and buildings.

Once we finished up our class, I took a trip with four friends to Munich, Zurich Switzerland, and Freiburg.  This was one of the best parts of the trip, where we got to see two more beautiful German cities and experience Switzerland and the Swiss Alps.

Overall, my experience on the Summer Program in Germany was incredible.  I was exposed to new cultures, saw historic and modern cities, experienced breathtaking landscapes, and loved every second of it.  It was an eye opening trip that I will never forget.
