My Top 8

1) Bürgermeister

(Berlin, Germany)

Doing final lunch in Berlin right

It’s literally a burger kiosk underneath a train bridge, but the burgers there are probably the best I’ve ever tasted. Plus, their chili fries are the BOMB.

2) Anda Venice Hostel

(Venice, Italy)

The interior had colourful, industrial vibes, the rooms were fully air-conditioned, they had a kitchen for guests to cook in, and there were Macs for guests to use in the lobby. Because it was a youth hostel, staying there was really cheap.

3) Pizzeria Da Michele
Good pizza after some island-hopping

(Venice, Italy)

We went back twice in a row because it was literally so good. Their specialty pizzas are so delicious.

4) Viktualien Markt
We found honey wine!

(Munich, Germany)

It’s a like a combination of a farmer’s market, a crafts market, and traditional German restaurants. There are so many interesting food and things there.

5) Bremer Chocolade Hachez

(Bremen, Germany)

It was one of the cutest chocolate shops I’ve seen on this trip. Since it was in Bremen, they had chocolates modeled after the famous Bremen Town Musicians.

6) Brauberger zu Lübeck

(Lubeck, Germany)

We went to this traditional German restaurant for our outing in Lubeck. They had the best schnitzel out of the whole trip. They also made their own beers. They had interesting flavors like apple, cherry, and banana.

7)  Biermeile Berlin

(Berlin, Germany)

It literally means the beer mile Berlin. It’s the International Berlin Beer Festival where people can come and try all different types of beers, including weird ones like coffee or chocolate beer. They have it for 3 days every year in August in the Friedrichshain District of Berlin.

8) Lübeck, Germany

The city was one of my favorite places we went for our class excursions. The town was by a river and had such a picturesque vibe.

Lubeck, Germany

Yup, 6 out of 8 of these were food-related. #notguilty

Overall, I loved the Germany trip. I’ll miss being able to do so much in a day- being able to attend class, finish homework, swim at the lake, and explore Berlin all in a day. I’ll also miss the dynamic our group had, especially the bond the girls and I had. We made so many inside jokes and Germ-glish/Eng-man vocab. It was just so fun.

The trip is coming to a close, but we’ll have the pictures, memories, and friendships to remember it.
