Elevator Speach

Germany was absolutely incredible. I have a hard time describing it simply because of how different of an experience it was. The classes went very well. Neither were too hard so we had lots of time to explore in Berlin. The time we had in the afternoons led to some of my favorite experiences. We often finished up class, got on the first bus we saw and found somewhere to explore in Berlin. I truly enjoyed living in a city and getting to explore all of the culture it had.

My favorite place we visited during the class was Bremen. I loved being able to see the old buildings and the cute little downtown area. It was also fun to see the Bremen Stadtmusikanten. Learning about this in class and then being able to recreate the statue ourselves was awesome. This was one of my favorite trips that we went on as a group, but of course, I loved them all.

The best day of the entire trip was during the last week when we got to travel in small groups. My group traveled to Munich, Venice and Innsbruck. Hiking up a mountain in the alps was by far my favorite activity we did all summer. All my life I have wanted to go to the alps so it was a dream for me to actually hike there. However, a close second for best days goes to our first day in Venice when we got to explore the city and end the day with a beautiful sunset.

Overall the trip was amazing. The group was great and it was fun getting to know each other better. Everywhere we visited was stunningly beautiful. The summer program in Germany was unforgettable. I am so happy that I chose to go.
